Attention Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus Fee-for-Service Vision Providers:

Due to unforeseen increases in volume, Korrect Optical is subcontracting to Classic Optical Laboratories, Inc. the ordering, fabrication, and customer service functions of the Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus State Purchase Eyeglass Contract (SPEC) effective August 17, 2015. The SPEC contract includes most covered lenses, frames, and eyeglass component parts that Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus members receive on a fee-for-service basis

As of August 17, 2015, all SPEC orders must be ordered directly from Classic Optical.

The eyeglass materials available through the SPEC are not changing. Under the subcontract, Classic Optical will offer the same covered lenses, frames, and eyeglass component parts as were available from Korrect Optical.

Providers may place orders with Classic Optical online at www.classicoptical.com. Providers who currently place orders with Classic Optical for other contracts can log in as usual to place orders under the SPEC (choose the Wisconsin Medicaid logo). For providers who fax or mail orders, the Classic Optical prescription form may be downloaded from www.classicoptical.com. Providers who do not currently place orders with Classic Optical or who need assistance logging in to the website should call Classic Optical customer service Monday through Friday 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Central Standard Time at 888-522-2020.
