  • Change Healthcare (CHC) has begun submitting some batch X12 electronic transactions to ForwardHealth. The volume of backlogged claims held by CHC and the amount of time it will take CHC to send them is unknown. ForwardHealth will process them in the order received.

  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is now required for the secure ForwardHealth Portal. Providers are encouraged to refer to the ForwardHealth Multi-Factor Authorization Instruction Sheet for help setting up MFA preferences.
    Providers may contact their Portal account administrator or call the ForwardHealth Portal Help Desk at 866-908-1363. Note: This is a project-specific announcement and is not related to the Change Healthcare disruption.

Remittance Advices in Text Format Now Available for 121 Days

Effective April 9, 2016, Remittance Advices (RAs) in text format (.txt) are available on the ForwardHealth Portal for 121 days. Previously, text format RAs were available for 97 days.

The ForwardHealth Provider Portal Remittance Advice User Guide and the Comma-Separated Values Remittance Advice User Guide were revised to reflect the increased availability, as was the ForwardHealth Online Handbook.

ForwardHealth user guides and instruction sheets provide users with step-by-step instructions on navigating specific Portal functionality; they do not contain policy information. For complete ForwardHealth policies and procedures, please refer to the Online Handbook on the Portal.
