Effective September 21, 2020, providers are required to use the Quantity Prescribed (460-ET) field on Electronic Data Interchange drug claims to identify partial fills for Schedule II drugs. This is required to comply with the national transaction standard per Final Rule CMS-0055-F published by the federal Department of Health and Human Services. The Final Rule modified requirements for use of the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) Telecommunication Standard Implementation Guide, Version D, Release 0. All other requirements for Schedule II drugs remain the same. Providers may contact Provider Services at 1-800-947-9627 with any questions.
