Postponed Start Date for Prior Authorization Policy Changes

ForwardHealth has postponed the previously announced July 13, 2026, start date for the following prior authorization (PA) policies.

Effective August 17, 2026, ForwardHealth will:

• No longer accept PA request submissions or provider decision letters via fax or mail.
• All PA requests and letters must be submitted in full electronically via the ForwardHealth Portal (the Portal).
• No longer accept PA returns.

Submitting PA through the Portal is the best way to reduce submission errors.
