Attention Providers: Mental Health Drug Advisors Group (MHDAG) has officially disbanded as of October 2015.
The MHDAG has been a valuable resource as ForwardHealth established a Preferred Drug List (PDL), which includes mental health drug classes. Over the last several years, the PDL activity for these classes has been relatively stable, which has allowed the MHDAG to focus on other drug-related issues. There have not been significant or noteworthy changes for quite some time. The need to discuss the PDL mental health drug classes has diminished due to lack of significant changes on the PDL and can be met through the Wisconsin Medicaid Pharmacy Prior Authorization Advisory Committee (PAC), which includes advocates, mental health care professional representation, and time for public comment. Therefore, the Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (DMHSAS) has decided to dissolve the MHDAG.
