Diapers and Underpads

Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus cover diapers (disposable and cloth) and underpads only for members who meet the medical necessity requirements. Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus will not reimburse for diapers or underpads in the following situations:

• When diapers are provided solely for the convenience of the member, the member's family, or the provider.
• When diapers and underpads are provided to children under 4 years of age.

Diapers and underpads are covered under the ForwardHealth incontinence and urological supply contract.

Note: Diapers provided to nursing home members are included in the nursing home daily rate and are not separately reimbursable.
